Better

We begin Genesis 47 this evening by looking at verses 1-12. The next part of the process in Joseph securing the land of Goshen for his family takes place with his family being introduced to Pharaoh. The significant piece of this account takes place when Jacob is introduced to Pharaoh. In their interaction we see the patriarch bestowing a double-blessing on Pharaoh and speaking briefly about his life. In this seemingly innocuous encounter we find the foundation and essence of the Christian faith. Jacob’s posture in Pharaoh’s presence communicates what Jacob believes about his station in life and what he believes about his God. Do we believe the same as Jacob? Join us as we look at these verses and seek to understand the basis of Jacob’s faith.
