Tonight we are preaching through Nehemiah 9 where we find the people confessing their sin and being reminded of God’s redemptive history throughout the Old Testament. In the recounting of God’s redemptive history we are reminded of how the sinfulness of man never changes. We are also reminded of God’s readiness to forgive out His abundant mercy, grace and love. These two always parallel each other and we must also embrace both realities if we are to be the people of God in the midst of a broken world.
